13th Sep 2017

A three-bedroom bungalow in Newry will be auctioned in London this week for £15,000.

This surprising bargain dwelling is expected to be auctioned on Thursday 14th September in London’s Cumberland Hotel.

This property is located in the quiet Chestnut Grove, not too far from the city centre, and is surrounded by generous gardens.

Neighbouring properties have been added to the market for almost £200,000. If this bungalow sells for the £15,000 guide price, it could be secured with a 10% (£1,500) deposit and mortgage repayments of £53 per month for 30 years.

It was revealed last week that a “fixer-upper” terraced house in Victoria Street, Lurgan, was on the market for £15,000.

A property in North Belfast’s Meyrick Street was also up for grabs for £55,000. However, this property was also in need of repair.

Off the Fall’s Road in West Belfast, another dwelling was on the market for £20,000.

A derelict three-bed property near the Cushendall Road in Ballymena is currently on the market with a £25,000  guide price.

Moving into  Co. Tyrone,  a one-bedroom apartment in Fintona was on the market for £11,000 and a two-bedroom flat, in the same building, could be purchased for £13,000

The latest figures from Ulster University’s Quarterly House Price Index was released last week and highlighted that properties in Northern Ireland have an average price of approximately £148,000.
